"Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance." –Coco Chanel
This week, we decided to take a look inside of Coco Chanel's living quarters between the years of 1910-1971 to catch a glimpse of her personal interior style. Coco Chanel had her apartment on top of her boutique since the beginning of her career but also had a suite at The Ritz, where she would call it a day and sleep. She would then walk 5 minutes back to her famous apartment/atelier at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris.
We were absolutely amazed to find out that a lot of her personal pieces matched so many pieces from our Collection and we just had to share! Her decor is not what you would expect from her signature black-and-white aesthetic. Yet, it is still pure French elegance infused with a mix of different cultures and styles. Her pieces are just like her–timeless.
Bonus Discovery: In March 2015, Karl Lagerfeld held a fashion show in New York City to showcase Chanel's Paris-Salzburg collection and the room was filled with Settees and Rochelle Chairs galore! It was definitely what our dreams are made of!
